Anville series 425 data logger
The Anville series 425 system has 16 inputs for fifteen type T thermocouples and one pressure sensor input.
Anville systems use Coto reed relay switching for thermocouple and pressure inputs. Reed relays have many advantages over semiconductor switching including 250VDC isolation between inputs, 400VDC isolation to ground, no thermoelectric EMF generation, no resistive offsets, long life and total reliability. Conversion to engineering units (°C/°F) is carried out by the microprocessor in the Anville system with data communicated to the computer in the correct engineering units enabling the system to have a traceable calibration certificate. An internal power supply provides the excitation voltage for the pressure transducer.
The accuracy of the Anville system for type T thermocouples is ±0.25°C over a measurement range from -100°C to 200°C with a resolution of 0.01°C. This accuracy of ±0.25°C is maintained over an ambient operating temperature range from 0°C to -40°C and includes all errors due to thermocouple cold junction compensation, DC amplifier, A/D converter and thermocouple linearization.
In Anville systems the cold junction compensation error is minimised by using correctly compensated miniature thermocouple connectors, with matching class 1 thermocouple wiring to the cold junction sensor connection. A 1/5 DIN Pt100 sensor measures the cold junction temperature.
